Salty Wings are Michael Goetze and Jampal Williamson. At the very start of the year — as in, literally January 1, 2016 — the pair had one ingenious idea for a photography project and have been executing it with artful perfectionism ever since. Salty Wings fly a drone camera along the 8,000 mile-long coastline of Western Australia to capture its awe-inspiring, sea-splashed vistas.

Every day, Salty Wings‘ nearly 50,000-strong Instragram following enjoys intricate shots of luminous coral reefs and marble-like natural coastal patterns. Other shots include a widescreen bird’s eye view of Coral Bay, which could easily double as intricate ink art, and one of an Orca pre-breached in the deep blue waters of Bremer Bay.

On the side, the pair create high-end commercial content for everyone from the Naturaliste Charter to the Urban List, and have enjoyed coverage on a number of huge news outlets including The Daily Mail and Yahoo. Together, they’re splashing the country’s tourism board with artfully-minded imagery and have ambitious commercial projects in the pipeline.
